Dear Friend of Saddleback Valley Schools,
Our schools are facing a budget shortfall of more than $10
million for next year. “The budget cuts will be devastating and will
impact every student, every grade, every school” said Superintendent
Dr. Steven Fish.
Even with federal stimulus money, the funding provided to
Saddleback Valley will be millions of dollars short of what is
needed for next year. Our schools and our students need our help!
If we don’t act now, teachers will lose their jobs. Libraries
will be closed. We will not have health aides on campuses. Assistant
coaching positions, vitally needed counseling services and even
essential reading assistance programs will all be eliminated. And
that’s just some of the drastic cuts that will have to be made.
Help Save Our Saddleback! If every parent contributed just a $1
a day per child for the 2009/2010 school year, we could raise $6
million for our students!
The money raised now will be used where it will have the
greatest impact on students. With a contribution of just $180 for
each student, the District will be able to restore many of the
high-quality programs and services our students need and deserve.
When you think of how our children will suffer because of what
will NOT be offered, $1 a day is a very small price! And if you can
send a little extra, you will make an even greater difference in the
lives of our students!
Please give the most generous gift you can TODAY! Donations need
to be received by June 30, 2009 so that the District can prepare for
the next school year.
Please help Save Our Saddleback!
Margaret Pendleton, President
Saddleback Valley Educational Foundation
P.S. You can make a life-changing difference for our students!
