S.O.S. Campaign

Dear Friend of Saddleback Valley Schools,

Last year the State of California was faced with one of its largest shortfalls ever. The Governor is looking to close a $26.4 billion deficit for 2011-2012. With 18 billion in cuts already made to education over the last three years, we can expect the reductions to remain in place at least through the 2011-2012 school year. The future of education in the state and in our district is clearly in jeopardy. Without swift action by the state legislature and financial assistance from the community, the District will again be facing the possibility of devastating cuts in the near future.

SVEF is working with the community, the PTA Council, local businesses and others to help raise funds to support programs in all of the schools, not just individual schools. Last school year, many of the parents in the Saddleback District responded generously by donating money to our SOS campaign. Over $30,000 was raised and 100% went back to their designated school of choice. These monies help support much needed school and technology supplies. But it's not enough if we are going to save school programs district wide!

When you think of the cost of a "grande latte" and how our children will suffer because of what will NOT be offered, $1 a day is a very small price! And if you can send a little extra, you will make an even greater difference in the lives of our students!

Please give the most generous gift you can TODAY! Please help Save Our Saddleback!

Pam Klister,

President, Saddleback Valley Education Foundation

P.S. You can make a life-changing difference for our students! Donations to Saddleback Valley Educational Foundation are tax- deductible and directly support the students of the Saddleback Valley School District. Our students need us! We CAN Save Our Saddleback!
